• The first year is pleasantly paced and as long as you keep up with threading it's easy to do well, but also relax with a good book.

• If you haven't kept up on the reading, there are three ways to go about it: 

  1. You could spend all night reading (which very few people want to do) 

  2. You can read the surprisingly sufficient SparkNotes summary (which I've never personally done as a teacher can often see it as disrespectful)

  3. Or (my personal favorite) you can listen to the audiobook while you work on other things. This trick is not for everyone retention-wise, but if you can make it work it is a huge time saver.
