IB English
Tips and Tricks
-
The first year is pleasantly paced and as long as you keep up with threading it's easy to do well, but also relax with a good book.
-
If you haven't kept up on the reading, there are three ways to go about it:
-
You could spend all night reading (which very few people want to do)
-
You can read the surprisingly sufficient SparkNotes summary (which I've never personally done as a teacher can often see it as disrespectful)
-
Or (my personal favorite) you can listen to the audiobook while you work on other things. This trick is not for everyone retention-wise, but if you can make it work it is a huge time saver.

The Written Assignment will serve as this class's IA, so just know it's important to start on this as soon as possible
